Anurag Kashyap is the man who can easily flaunt the tag of the man who brought a change to Indian cinema and I envy him so much for that.
Gangs of Wasseypur is simply a genre for all who have watched it and respect that movie simply because it is bold, very different and so refreshing.
It is the epitome of realistic cinema in a land of high-budget, flowery movies and this movie will hold a special place in everyone’s heart. It was a gateway for amazing talent in the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkummar Rao, Jaideep Ahlawat and so many more I can’t even.
There’s no doubt that this movie is widely considered a cult classic and is a reminder to the range of hindi cinema, widely extending beyond the stereotypical image of it.
Here are some of my favourite dialogues from the two parts.
EXPLETIVES AHEAD, of course.
